Nowadays, you will find a lot of advert on many places like newspapers, magazines, internet websites, and so on. I have to say, they’re very attractive. It’s like they have a certain charm that seduce you to buy the product that’s being advertised, no matter how shit it is. They always come with fancy slogans that sounds very sporty, sophisticated, or whatever nice-ish image the product can only dream of.

There’s a rule on the advertising world that says an advertisement should tell the truth about the product it promote. This rule though, hasn’t been done properly. Take Porsche Boxter’s advert for instance. In the advert, there’s a picture of a blue boxter driven swiftly by a sporty looking male around a sequence of bend on a deserted area on a mountainious-ish place. Then there are some catchy slogan and small-print words that says something about sporty handling and those complete non-sense. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that a Porsche Boxter is a sweet handler and has a hell of an engine. The problem is, the advert tries hard to make an impression that buying a boxter open the door to a sporty lifestyle, a spirited driving around the countryside every weekend.

What a complete non-sense! No matter how hard the advert tries to convince you how good the boxter is, if you buy a boxter, people sees you as cocky show-off. A man who really wanted a porsche but couldn’t afford a proper porsche (911). Instead of open the door into an active lifestyle, the ownership of a porsche boxter will only make your friends hate you because, as soon as you own a boxter, you’ll start to be a complete tosser, banging on how good your new twatty porsche is. Boxter’s ad should stop whining about its handling and power. It should tell us the truth, which means every forthcoming boxter ad should come with a slogan in the line of “Buy a Boxter because no one likes you anyway, so you won’t lose any friend at all because you haven’t got one in first place.”

The boxter ad is just one example. There are a lot of bullshit adverts out there. We need a revolution in the world of advertisements. Here are some examples taken from motoring website “Sniff Petrol” how car adverts should be.

OK, so that’s how an advert for a Chrysler Voyager should be. It described the car perfectly, with a picture showing its piss-poor crash test performance. People carrier like this often packed with kids on school-run. With, its awful crash test performance, if this car has an accident the passengers (kids, mostly) will certainly die. So, the slogan “Who wants to se them (the kids) grow up anyway?” suit the case perfectly, both covering the school run mom image of this shit car and its comparably shit crash protection.

I love cars. I really do. I love cars since I was a little boy. I don’t know how it began, but it surely is a love that last a lifetime.

I first watch BBC’s Top Gear five years ago, in a BBC world. It was a 30-minutes shortened version of an original Top Gear, but I didn’t care back then, because it was a fantastic tv show that features cars, and mostly because I didn’t even know that i was watching the “lite” version.

When I get a broadband connection for the first time in my life a year ago, I log into youtube and from there, I found a penchant for Top Gear that keeps growing ever since. I found out that beyond that stupid “lite” version I used to watch on the BBC world, there are so many new things about Top Gear that I discovered. New things that makes them stand out among other rip-off motoring shows like the unbelievablyu shit Fifth Gear. Watching Top Gear, can be described as sublime, on the other hand though, watching Fifth Gear is like having a lawn mower shoved up your arse, only way way more unpleasant.

Thanks to youtube, I can watch every Top Gear episodes that I miss every time I like. There were loads of Top Gear episodes for me to watch. However, few months ago, I felt this feeling of sudden massive decrease of the amount of Top Gear videos on youtube. It gets worse though. I was subscribed to this user “TopGearLord” because he had a massive collection of Top Gear videos. Two weeks later, he disappeared, just like that. I found out later that his account, and many other users that had loads of Top Gears videos has been suspended due to complaints from BBC.

Now, here’s the problem. There are loads of Top Gear fans from all over the world who couldn’t watch Top Gear on their TV. I am one of them, since BBC World stop airing Top Gear two years ago. For us, youtube has been our Noah’s Arc. The only place where we can watch our favourite TV show. We’ve praised Top Gear for many times, which helped Top Gear won the NTA award as the best factual program on 2007. We’ve helped Top Gear give BBC the credential that it needs. And what do we get? A punch in the face. BBC, you’re a worthless twatty cockbag. You should be able to see the advantages you get from people who have put so much effort to put Top Gear in youtube so that people around the world knows about it. If only you weren’t such an imbicile…

Have you ever watched the movie “Wrong Turn”? It’s a movie about a group of teens who were having a roadtrip, which were supposed to be a nice way to spend their summer holiday. However, they took a wrong turn on an intersection and the road where they were heading to eventually leads to a place which were terrored by a psycho murderer and they have to fight for their life.

Three years ago, when I was still in grade 9, my parents gave me few choices of high schools that I have to attend after I finished my junior high. When my mom gave me the brochure of SMAK 1, I suddenly felt “Oh for Christ Sake! How on earth would I be able to attend a school as prestigious as this? My mom must have been ambitious but rubbish!”. I was so sure at the time that there’s no way I could be accepted in this school.

Few months after I attend the entrance test, I was taking part in a school event when my mom called me. I still can remember quite vividly what se said to me at that afternoon. “You’re accepted in SMAK 1″, said her. At an instant, I felt like being electrocuted. I was so happy at that time. I can belive that I was accepeted there.

Time passed by. Suddenly, July had already arrived which means I was going to attend the very first day in SMAK 1. I have high hopes when I entered this school. Despite all the remedials and fucked up physics score, I still tought that when I graduate from this school, I would have a world beating knowledge, that I would be respected as a SMAK 1 graduate.

Yesterday, I went to an edu fair in my school. I was looking for information about universities in Canada. I’ve always want to go there since I was in junior high. Continuing my study in Canada have always been my dream. I’ve checked some websites of respectable universities and I was surprised that they don’t request my report card. It was relieving for me because I have to say, my scores are not really good, in fact, they’re rubbish. You see, this is the problem with SMAK 1 students, the lessons are very hard. Getting 70 in here is as hard as getting 90 in stupid appalling goverment funded public schools. And I was schocked when peoples from various education agents and from canadian education centers told me that I would have to get an average score of 80 to be considered seriously. Damn! Don’t those Canadian realize how hard it is for me to get 70 only? Getting 80 might be compared as finding lifes on Mars! It’s very hard indeed! At that point, I realized that I have taken a wrong turn when I agreed to enter SMAK 1 2 years ago. Now I’m stuck with a stupid school with a cockbag principal, lots of twatty teachers, and an impossibly hard lessons.

I hope I can survive this circle of hell…
